“Running a marathon again has always been an ambition of mine but after having suffering an Achilles rupture three years ago I was concerned how my body would cope with the intensive training. Quite quickly into my training I suffered an injury to my knee on the same side as my achilles injury, it meant I had to have 4 weeks off training. This only left me 6 weeks of training time until the marathon, I thought there was little hope in being able to complete the race, let alone beat my previous time.
Simon was very supportive and quickly identified my areas of weakness and then used a technique to activate these muscles. The results were incredible, muscles that fell flat against any force were suddenly able to resist any pressure applied to them. Simon was able to explain to me how all of these muscles connect and therefore why I was weak in certain areas. It meant I could then really focus on activating the areas that needed the most help.
As I got close to the marathon my performance really started to peak. My times were getting better and my confidence grew, so much so that I was able to complete the marathon and beat my PB by 4 minutes! I would thoroughly recommend Simon to anyone wanting to really get the best out of their performance.”
